Today Harry and I were playing on his activity mat, and I like I always do, attempted to get Harry to smile. Well, today I got better than a smile back, while playing with him. Joe is great about making characters out of all of Harry's toys. He names them all and has great accents for each character. Today, I was trying to sound like Joe and do Ollie the Octopus. I am not sure if Harry was laughing at me trying to copy his daddy, or if he really just liked Ollie the Octopus with the high pitched country-Spanish accent. Whatever it was his giggles were awesome. This is the first time we have heard Harry laughing, it is great!!! I hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

Thanksgiving

Bath Time!!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year in Charlotte, North Carolina. Harry had a great time playing with Grandmom Becky, Gi and of course Papa!! Joe fried us up a delicious turkey, and Gi brought the famous chicken and dressing (GG's recipe of course) and we wrapped it up with pecan pie and pumpkin cheesecake. On Saturday morning we headed down to Atlanta to visit relatives. Harry got to meet his cousin Parker and Beau, and got a chance to hang out with his Great Grandmom Joyce. Then we made the trip to Chateau Elan, a winery in Atlanta. Joe had a conference at this resort/winery so Harry and I tagged along. I was hoping to take Harry on his first winery tour unfortunately, the weather was rainy and cold, so Harry and I hung out in the beautiful hotel room while Daddy worked.

Harry's 1st Halloween

We had a great Halloween this year. Harry actually was asleep by 7:00PM so Joe and I stood outside and handed out candy to all of the trick -0r- treaters.

Six Weeks

Harry was six weeks old on October 29th. We had our doctors appointment and Harry weighed in at 9lbs 5 oz and measured 22 inches long.

A BIG THANK YOU!!

I wanted to say thank you to both my mom and my mother -in-law for their help during our adjusting period. You both were a tremendous help and Joe, Harry, and myself appreciate it very much. Thank you for taking the time to come and stay with us. We are lucky to have such great family.

Harry will be 6 weeks old this Friday. The time has gone by quickly however some days seem very long :). He is really starting to fill out and finally put some weight on his long frame. We took our first road trip to the mountains 2 weekends ago. The leaves up in Banner Elk are gorgeous right now and the weather was perfect. Harry had a great time at the Wooly Worm Festival. I will post pictures as soon as we get them downloaded.

Lastly, we are so excited to welcome Baby Carlean Jane Myers into the family. She was born on October 25th and weighed 6 lbs 10.4 oz and was 20 inches long. She is a beautiful little girl and we can't wait to meet her.

September 17th Baby Harry's Arrival

We are so excited Baby Harry has finally arrived. He was born on September 17th at 7:56 pm. He was a whopping 6 lbs 4 oz. and 19 inches long. He has been such a blessing, Joe and I did not realize how much we could love a little thing. He has been an amazing baby, he is still working out some kinks, like figuring out what night and day are and when it is the appropriate time to sleep. But other than that he is just perfect. I am attaching some photos that we took at the hospital when he was 1,2 and 3 days old. Enjoy!

Month of July

We had a busy month in July. We had a wonderful visit to Florida, where my Mom planned a wonderful shower for my sister and me. It was great catching up with everyone. Then we headed to Durham, NC where we watched Liz (Joe's sister) graduate from nursing school. Then Joe and his Uncle Sam went on a boy's weekend to Charleston, where Joe caught a baby shark. It was a great month, however, my travels have now slowed down. I am 35 weeks along and have never been hotter!! I am looking forward to Fall.

Harry's First Pictures

We had a very exciting appointment today at the Doctor's office. Harry had his pictures taken in 3D/4D and it was pretty amazing. I will attach a few of the photos. We are getting really excited.

Hilton Head Family Vacation

This was Harry's first family vacation. We had such a great time (Thanks G. and Papa). We had a great time playing with Addyson, she is such a little fish in the pool. Poolside we taught her one of GG's favorite tricks. That is to push us all in the pool, then help us out only to push us back in again. All the while she stays safely on the pool deck laughing. The pictures above are of Addy waiting to be smothered in SPF 50 and of myself at 29 weeks pregnant and counting.

24 Weeks

So...as everyone has probably heard Joe and I are expecting a baby boy in September. We are getting so excited, especially since we are in the 2nd trimester. (Wasn't so exciting in the first trimester; and Joe better not share any of those photos with anyone.)

The wonderful picture taken of me was snapped at 24 weeks. As you can see Baby Harry and his mother are both getting bigger.

Lastly, I wanted to thank Allison, Jill, and Becky for creating such wonderful blogs, now I am going to have to develop my blogging skills!!! I might be calling for help!
